Lani

As surgical assistant, Fulani assists Dr. Shillingburg in oral surgery procedures, takes x-rays, collects information during consults, administers IV drugs, and monitors patients’ vitals. She enjoys her role because she gets to help people and is constantly learning new things.

Fulani decided to enter the dental field once she experienced how interesting surgery is. She really enjoys helping people have top oral health, and loves how much the doctor really cares about all patients’ best interests.

When not working, Fulani enjoys spending time with friends and family, barbequing, and enjoying nice weather. Fulani has spent a year living in Japan, ziplined through the forest, and swam with dolphins in Jamaica. She is a member of the Say Her Name campaign and Black Girls Smile.
